The Small Business Administration (SBA) intends to request approval, from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for the collection of information described below. The Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) requires federal agencies to publish a notice in the Federal Register concerning each proposed collection of information before submission to OMB, and to allow 60 days for public comment in response to the notice. This notice complies with that requirement.

📜New OPM Records System for VA Employee Benefits Appeals

In accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) proposes to establish a new system of records titled, "OPM/Internal--31, VA Recoupment and Reduction Appeals to OPM." OPM will use this system to process appeals from current and former civil service Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) employees who received an order by the VA to recoup or reduce their awards, bonuses, relocation expenses, or retirement benefits, and chose to appeal that order to the Director of OPM.

💼2025 Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment for VA Loan Regulations

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is amending its regulations to adjust for inflation the amount of civil monetary penalties that are within VA's jurisdiction. These adjustments comply with the requirement in the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act of 1990, as amended by the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act Improvements Act of 2015, to make annual adjustments to the penalties.
