Notice is hereby given that the U.S. International Trade Commission ("the Commission") has determined to review in part a final initial determination ("FID") issued by the presiding administrative law judge ("ALJ") finding no violation of section 337. On review, the Commission affirms the determination of no violation. The investigation is hereby terminated.

⚖️USITC Investigates Antidumping Duties on Steel Fencing Imports

The Commission hereby gives notice of the institution of investigations and commencement of preliminary phase antidumping and countervailing duty investigation Nos. 701-TA-754 and 731-TA-1732 (Preliminary) pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 ("the Act") to determine whether there is a reasonable indication that an industry in the United States is materially injured or threatened with material injury, or the establishment of an industry in the United States is materially retarded, by reason of imports of temporary steel fencing from China, provided for in subheading 7308.90.95 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, that are alleged to be sold in the United States at less than fair value and alleged to be subsidized by the Government of China. Unless the Department of Commerce ("Commerce") extends the time for initiation, the Commission must reach a preliminary determination in antidumping and countervailing duty investigations in 45 days, or in this case by March 3, 2025. The Commission's views must be transmitted to Commerce within five business days thereafter, or by March 10, 2025.

⚖️Notice of Final Phase Investigations on Solar Panels Imports

The Commission hereby gives notice of the scheduling of the final phase of antidumping and countervailing duty investigation Nos. 701-TA-722-725 and 731-TA-1690-1693 (Final) pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 ("the Act") to determine whether an industry in the United States is materially injured or threatened with material injury, or the establishment of an industry in the United States is materially retarded, by reason of imports of crystalline silicon photovoltaic products (solar panels) from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam, provided for in statistical reporting numbers 8541.42.0010 and 8541.43.0010 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States. Crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells, whether or not assemabled into modules, may also be imported under subheadings 8501.71, 8501.72, and 8501.80 and statistical reporting number 8507.20.8010, preliminarily determined by the Department of Commerce ("Commerce") to be subsidized and sold at less-than-fair-value.

🚫Termination of Investigation on Glass Wine Bottles from Chile

The subject investigation was requested in petitions filed on December 29, 2023, by the U.S. Glass Producers Coalition, which is comprised of Ardagh Glass Inc., Indianapolis, Indiana and the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. On December 10, 2024, counsel for the petitioner filed with the Department of Commerce a request to withdraw its petition regarding imports of glass wine bottles from Chile. On December 30, 2024, the Department of Commerce published notice in the Federal Register of the termination of its subject investigation concerning glass wine bottles from Chile (89 FR 106425). Accordingly, the antidumping duty investigation concerning glass wine bottles from Chile (Investigation No. 731-TA-1661 (Final)) is terminated.
