📜DOJ Finalizes Guidance Document Regulations Effective January 2025

This rule finalizes without change an interim final rule by which the Department of Justice ("Department") removed amendments to its regulations that were made during 2020 pursuant to the now-revoked Executive Order 13891, which had imposed limitations on the use of Department guidance documents in criminal and civil enforcement actions brought by the Department.

🚚FMCSA Exemption Applications for Hearing Requirement in Drivers

FMCSA announces receipt of applications from nine individuals for an exemption from the hearing requirement in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) to operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) in interstate commerce. If granted, the exemptions would enable these hard of hearing and deaf individuals to operate CMVs in interstate commerce.

✈️New FAA Regulations on Standard Instrument Approach Procedures

This rule amends, suspends, or removes Standard Instrument Approach Procedures (SIAPs) and associated Takeoff Minimums and Obstacle Departure Procedures for operations at certain airports. These regulatory actions are needed because of the adoption of new or revised criteria, or because of changes occurring in the National Airspace System, such as the commissioning of new navigational facilities, adding new obstacles, or changing air traffic requirements. These changes are designed to provide for the safe and efficient use of the navigable airspace and to promote safe flight operations under instrument flight rules at the affected airports.
