The FAA proposes to rule and invites public comment on Dinwiddie Airport and Industrial Authority's request to dispose of 44.24 acres of federally obligated airport property at Tri Cities Executive/Dinwiddie County Airport, Petersburg, VA. This acreage was originally conveyed to the airport by the United States of America under the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act and the Surplus Property Act. The proposed use of land after the release will be compatible with the airport and will not interfere with airport or its operation.

Each LOMR revises the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs), and in some cases the Flood Insurance Study (FIS) reports, currently in effect for the listed communities.

The FIRM and FIS report are the basis of the floodplain management measures that a community is required either to adopt or to show evidence of having an effect in order to qualify or remain qualified for participation in the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA's) National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).

The release of property will allow the City of Melbourne to dispose of the property for non-aeronautical purposes.
