📋Call for Nominations for Northern New Mexico Resource Advisory Council

The purpose of this notice is to request public nominations for the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) Northern New Mexico Resource Advisory Council (RAC) for terms scheduled to expire. This RAC provides advice and recommendations to the BLM on land use planning and management of the National System of Public Lands within its geographic areas.

🏞️Approved Resource Management Plan Impacting Businesses in New Mexico

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) announces the availability of the Record of Decision (ROD) for the Approved Resource Management Plan (RMP) for the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument (Monument) located in Do[ntilde]a Ana County, New Mexico. The BLM New Mexico State Director signed the ROD on January 8, 2025, which constitutes the decision of the BLM and makes the Approved RMP effective immediately.

⚠️NRC Notice on Louisiana Energy Services License Amendment Request

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff accepted and docketed an application for the amendment of Special Nuclear Materials (SNM) License No. SNM-2010, submitted by Louisiana Energy Services, LLC, dba Urenco USA dated August 29, 2024. The license amendment request (LAR) would authorize the applicant to modify the National Enrichment Facility, located in Eunice, New Mexico to increase the enrichment limit for the on-site recycling and support systems from 5.5 weight percent Uranium 235 (U-235) to less than 10.0 weight percent U-235 (LEU+), and would remove interim controls that were established by a prior license amendment for segregation and storage of LEU+- exposed components removed from production systems. Because this amendment request contains Sensitive Unclassified Non-Safeguards Information (SUNSI), an order imposes procedures to obtain access to SUNSI and Safeguards Information (SGI) for contention preparation.

🌍Public Land Order No. 7955

This Public Land Order (Order) partially revokes two withdrawals created by Secretary's orders dated December 10 and 22, 1928, issued pursuant to the Reclamation Act of June 17, 1902, section 3, to support the Bureau of Reclamation's (BOR) Avalon Reservoir Carlsbad Project. The BOR has determined that 335.25 acres of withdrawn lands are no longer needed for reclamation purposes and has requested that the withdrawals be partially revoked. This Order opens the lands to appropriation under the public land laws, subject to valid existing rights.

🌍Notice of Approved Resource Management Plan for Rio Puerco Field Office

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) announces the availability of the Record of Decision (ROD) for the Approved Resource Management Plan (RMP) for the Rio Puerco Field Office located in central and northwestern New Mexico. The BLM Director signed the ROD on December 23, 2024, which constitutes the decision of the BLM and makes the Approved RMP effective immediately.
