🦆Proposed Hunting Regulations and Economic Impact for 2025-26

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service or we) proposes to establish hunting regulations for certain migratory game birds for the 2025-26 hunting season. Through an annual rulemaking process, we prescribe outside limits (which we refer to as frameworks) within which States may select hunting seasons. This proposed rule provides the regulatory schedule, describes the proposed regulatory alternatives for the 2025-26 general duck seasons, and provides preliminary proposals that vary from the 2024-25 hunting season regulations. Migratory bird hunting seasons provide opportunities for recreation and sustenance; aid Federal, State, and Tribal governments in the management of migratory game birds; and permit harvests at levels compatible with migratory game bird population status and habitat conditions.

⚖️Proposed DOJ Rule on Homicide Victims' Families' Rights Act

The Department of Justice is proposing a rule to implement the Homicide Victims' Families' Rights Act of 2021. The proposed rule would explain and effectuate the Act's system for reviewing and, as warranted, reinvestigating murders investigated by Federal law enforcement agencies that remain unsolved after three years.

🏞️New Visitor Experience Improvements Authority Contracts Explained

This rule implements the Visitor Experience Improvements Authority given to the National Park Service by Congress in Title VII of the National Park Service Centennial Act. This authority allows the National Park Service to award and administer commercial services contracts and related professional services contracts for the operation and expansion of commercial visitor facilities and visitor services programs in units of the National Park System.

The Cybersecurity Division (CSD) within the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) will submit the following information collection request (ICR) to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and clearance. CISA previously published this information collection request (ICR) in the Federal Register on October 7, 2024, for a 60-day public comment period. Three (3) comments were received by CISA. One unrelated public comment was submitted. The purpose of this notice is to allow additional 30-days for public comments.

🚒FY 2024 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program Overview

Pursuant to the Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974, as amended, the Administrator of FEMA is publishing this notice describing the fiscal year (FY) 2024 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program application process, deadlines, and award selection criteria. This notice explains the differences, if any, between these guidelines and those recommended by representatives of the national fire service leadership during the annual meeting of the Criteria Development Panel (CDP), which was held July 9, 2024. The application period for the FY 2024 AFG Program was Nov. 12, 2024-Dec. 20, 2024, and was announced on the FEMA AFG Program website at https://www.fema.gov/ grants/preparedness/firefighters, as well as at https://www.grants.gov.

⚖️Notice of Disposition Under NAGPRA for Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests

In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests intends to carry out the disposition of human remains and associated funerary objects removed from Federal or Tribal lands to the lineal descendants, Indian Tribe, or Native Hawaiian organization with priority for disposition in this notice.

Comments submitted during the first public review of this ICR will be provided to OMB. OMB will accept further comments from the public during the review and approval period. 🏛️DOJ Final Rule on Office of Legal Policy Organizational Changes

This rule amends the Code of Federal Regulations to update the organizational description of the Office of Legal Policy to reflect current practice.
