🦇Notice on Endangered Species Recovery Permits and Business Impact

We, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, have received applications for permits to conduct scientific research to promote conservation or other activities intended to enhance the propagation or survival of endangered or threatened species under the Endangered Species Act. We invite the public and local, State, Tribal, and Federal agencies to comment on these applications. Before issuing any of the requested permits, we will take into consideration any information that we receive during the public comment period.

✈️FAA Updates Standard Instrument Approach Procedures Effective 2025

This rule establishes, amends, suspends, or removes Standard Instrument Approach Procedures (SIAPS) and associated Takeoff Minimums and Obstacle Departure procedures (ODPs) for operations at certain airports. These regulatory actions are needed because of the adoption of new or revised criteria, or because of changes occurring in the National Airspace System, such as the commissioning of new navigational facilities, adding new obstacles, or changing air traffic requirements. These changes are designed to provide safe and efficient use of the navigable airspace and to promote safe flight operations under instrument flight rules at the affected airports.

🎓AmeriCorps Funding Regulation Updates and Business Implications

The Corporation for National and Community Service (operating as AmeriCorps) is revising regulations governing the number of terms for which AmeriCorps will fund living allowances and other benefits for AmeriCorps State and National members. Specifically, this rule increases the flexibility of the current rule by providing that AmeriCorps funding may be used for living allowances and other benefits for members for as long as it takes the members to either earn the aggregate value of two full-time Segal Education Awards or four terms, whichever is longer.

📜Update on DFARS Challenge Period for Technical Data Restrictions

DoD is issuing a final rule amending the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to implement a section of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012, which addresses the validation of proprietary data restrictions.

✈️Establishment of Class E Airspace at Pine Bluffs Municipal Airport

This action proposes to establish Class E airspace area extending upward from 700 feet or more above the surface of the earth at Pine Bluffs Municipal Airport, Pine Bluffs, WY. This action would support the airport's transition from visual flight rules (VFR) to instrument flight rules (IFR) operations.
