✈️New Airworthiness Directive for Airbus Canada's BD-500 Airplanes

The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2022-19- 09, which applied to all Airbus Canada Limited Partnership Model BD- 500-1A10 and BD-500-1A11 airplanes. AD 2022-19-09 required repetitive inspections of the left and right main landing gear (MLG) lower spindle pins to detect corrosion and applicable repair or replacement. This AD was prompted by reports of in-service findings of corrosion on the flange of the MLG lower spindle pin. This AD continues to require certain actions in AD 2022-19-09. This AD also requires changing the tracking of flight cycles for inspections from the usage of the MLG to the usage of MLG lower spindle assemblies and replacement of affected MLG lower spindle assemblies, removes airplanes from the applicability, and prohibits the installation of affected parts under certain conditions; as specified in a Transport Canada AD, which is incorporated by reference. 🏘️HUD Extends Comment Period for Fair Housing Revisions Rule

On March 3, 2025, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) published in the Federal Register an interim final rule entitled "Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Revisions." The interim final rule provided for a 60-day comment period, which would have ended May 2, 2025. However, following a technical problem with regulations.gov that appeared to prohibit the electronic submission of comments on this rule beginning on or about April 28, HUD has determined that a seven-day extension of the comment period, until May 9, 2025, is appropriate.
