✈️New Airworthiness Directives Impacting Airbus SAS Airplanes

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus SAS Model A300 B4-600, B4-600R, and F4-600R series airplanes; and Model A300 C4-605R Variant F airplanes (collectively called Model A300-600 series airplanes). This AD was prompted by a determination that new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations are necessary. This AD requires revising the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

✈️Airworthiness Directives Impacting Airbus A350 Aircraft Operators

The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2020-02- 14, which applied to certain Airbus SAS Model A350-941 and -1041 airplanes. AD 2020-02-14 required a one-time inspection of the oxygen containers and adjacent panels and applicable corrective actions. Since the FAA issued AD 2020-02-14, it was determined that additional airplanes may be affected by the same unsafe condition. This AD continues to require the actions in AD 2020-02-14 and expands the applicability to include additional airplanes. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

✈️Airworthiness Directive for Airbus Helicopters

The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2020-24-07 for certain Airbus Helicopters Model AS350B3, EC130B4, and EC130T2 helicopters. AD 2020-24-07 required modifying and inspecting the throttle twist grip (twist grip). Since the FAA issued AD 2020-24-07, there have been reports of the engine remaining in idle when the twist grip was turned to the "FLIGHT" mode. This AD retains the actions required by AD 2020-24-07 and adds a modification that constitutes terminating action for the repetitive inspections. This AD also expands the helicopter applicability, provides additional requirements for certain helicopters, and prohibits installing affected microswitches or an affected twist grip with the affected microswitch. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

✈️FAA Issues Airworthiness Directive for Boeing 787 Oxygen Systems

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all The Boeing Company Model 787-8, 787-9, and 787-10 airplanes. This AD was prompted by a report indicating that the oxygen supply tubing can become kinked when certain passenger service unit (PSU) oxygen panel assemblies are installed in the forward-most position of a center stow bin. This AD requires a one-time inspection of the affected PSU oxygen panel assemblies and applicable on-condition actions. This AD also prohibits the installation of affected parts. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

🛩️New Airworthiness Directives for Airbus Helicopters Impacting Compliance

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus Helicopters Deutschland GmbH Model EC135P1, EC135P2, EC135P2+, EC135P3, EC135T1, EC135T2, EC135T2+, EC135T3, EC635T2+, MBB-BK 117 C-2, MBB-BK 117 D-2, and MBB-BK 117 D-3 helicopters. This AD was prompted by a review of design data and the determination for recalculation of accumulated hoist boom cycles (cycles) and repetitive inspections. This AD requires determining the total cycles of certain hoist boom assemblies, inspecting those hoist boom assemblies, and depending on the results, taking corrective action. This AD also prohibits installing those hoist boom assemblies unless certain requirements are met. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

✈️FAA Airworthiness Directive Requiring Inspections for GE Engines

The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2024-06-02 for all GE Aviation Czech s.r.o. (GEAC) Model M601D-11, M601E-11, M601E-11A, M601E-11AS, M601E-11S, and M601F engines. AD 2024-06-02 required a one-time detailed visual inspection (DVI) of the compressor case pad welds for any crack, and replacement of the compressor case if necessary. Since the FAA issued AD 2024-06-02, the manufacturer determined that the compliance time for the DVI can be extended, and repetitive inspections of the centrifugal compressor case must be accomplished. This AD requires performing repetitive DVIs of the compressor case pad welds for any crack, replacing the compressor case if necessary, and sending certain inspection results to the manufacturer. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

🚁New Airworthiness Directive

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus Helicopters Model AS 332L2 and EC 225LP helicopters. This AD was prompted by reports of overlengthened and deformed attachment bolts installed on the link of the main gearbox (MGB) suspension bar attachment bracket. This AD requires replacing certain attachment bolts on the MGB suspension bar fittings, inspecting the removed bolts, and reporting the results of this inspection to Airbus Helicopters. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

✈️FAA Proposes Airworthiness Directive for Airbus Canada Airplanes

The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus Canada Limited Partnership Model BD-500-1A10 and BD- 500-1A11 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a report that, during a quality check in production, it was found that some of the tie rods supporting the overhead stowage compartments in the passenger cabin did not have enough thread engagement of the turnbuckle into the tie rod. This proposed AD would require an inspection for proper thread engagement of the tie rods and, if necessary, adjustment of the tie rod engagement. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

✈️Proposed Airworthiness Directive for Rolls-Royce Engines

The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Rolls-Royce Deutschland Ltd & Co KG (RRD) Model RB211 Trent 768-60, 772-60, and 772B-60 engines. This proposed AD was prompted by a report that a batch of low pressure (LP) compressor blades are more prone to cracking due to a deviation from the approved blade configuration design. This proposed AD would require removal from service of the affected LP compressor blades and replacement with a serviceable part. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
