✈️Proposed FAA Airworthiness Directive for Boeing Airplanes

The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all The Boeing Company Model 737-600, -700, -700C, -800, -900, and -900ER series airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a report of under-torqued and missing nuts on the horizontal stabilizer trim actuator (HSTA) lower gimbal assembly. This proposed AD would require a review of maintenance records to determine if an overhauled HSTA was inspected and corrective actions were accomplished using certain service information, and applicable on-condition actions. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

✈️Proposed Airworthiness Directive for CFM International Engines

The FAA proposes to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2023-23-12, which applies to all CFM International, S.A. (CFM) Model LEAP-1B21, LEAP-1B23, LEAP-1B25, LEAP-1B27, LEAP-1B28, LEAP-1B28B1, LEAP-1B28B2, LEAP-1B28B2C, LEAP-1B28B3, LEAP-1B28BBJ1, and LEAP- 1B28BBJ2 (LEAP-1B) engines. AD 2023-23-12 requires replacing certain high-pressure turbine (HPT) rotor stage 1 disks and a certain compressor rotor stages 6-10 spool. Since the FAA issued AD 2023-23-12, the manufacturer has identified additional parts that were manufactured from material suspected to have reduced material properties due to iron inclusion, which prompted this proposed AD. This proposed AD would retain the requirements to replace certain HPT rotor stage 1 disks and a certain compressor rotor stages 6-10 spool. This proposed AD would also expand the applicability to include additional affected HPT rotor stage 1 disks that were manufactured from the same material suspected to have reduced material properties due to iron inclusion. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

🚚Regulatory Update on Driver Qualification Files Compliance Requirements

In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA), FMCSA announces its plan to submit the Information Collection Request (ICR) described below to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for its review and approval and invites public comment. FMCSA requests approval to revise and renew an ICR titled "Driver Qualification Files." The ICR estimates the burden commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers and motor carriers incur to comply with the reporting and recordkeeping tasks required for motor carriers to maintain driver qualification (DQ) files. The Agency's regulations pertaining to maintaining DQ files are unchanged and impose no increased information collection (IC) burden on individual drivers and motor carriers. Rule 15 Apr 2025 environmental regulation, epa, construction, npdes, stormwater management, federal jurisdiction

🌧️Modification to 2022 NPDES CGP for Federal Jurisdiction Construction

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is finalizing, largely as proposed, a narrow modification to its 2022 Construction General Permit (CGP) to expand the list of areas eligible for coverage to include construction projects in all Lands of Exclusive Federal Jurisdiction. This modification is necessary because the EPA is the permitting authority in Lands of Exclusive Federal Jurisdiction, and when the CGP was issued on February 17, 2022, the permit did not specifically provide eligibility for these areas as a class. The modification also clarifies the CGP requirements that apply to projects that discharge to receiving waters within Lands of Exclusive Federal Jurisdiction in response to the Supreme Court's recent decision in City and County of San Francisco v. EPA. The permit modification and accompanying permit fact sheet can be found at https://www.epa.gov/ npdes/2022-construction-general-permit-cgp.
