🌊DOI Revises Regulations on Reservoir Lands Acquisition Policies

We, the Department of the Interior (DOI), are revising regulations that govern DOI's internal real property acquisition policies for reservoir lands. This direct final rule adds a section to allow deviations for the acquisition of less than fee title realty interests in and around reservoirs owned by DOI and typically only those constructed before 1962, a relatively infrequent occurrence.

🏭EPA Approves Permit for Viejas Pit Stop Gas Station in California

This notice announces that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 9, issued an approval to the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians under the Clean Air Act's Tribal Minor New Source Review (NSR) Program. The EPA approved the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians' Request for Coverage under the General Air Quality Permit for New or Modified Minor Source Gasoline Dispensing Facilities in Indian Country within California for the Viejas Pit Stop. This approval authorizes the construction of the Viejas Pit Stop under the Tribal Minor NSR Program.

🌊Final Flood Hazard Determinations by FEMA - 2025 Update

Flood hazard determinations, which may include additions or modifications of Base Flood Elevations (BFEs), base flood depths, Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) boundaries or zone designations, or regulatory floodways on the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) and where applicable, in the supporting Flood Insurance Study (FIS) reports have been made final for the communities listed in the table below. The FIRM and FIS report are the basis of the floodplain management measures that a community is required either to adopt or to show evidence of having in effect in order to qualify or remain qualified for participation in the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA's) National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).

✈️Delay of FAA Airspace Rule Effective Date

This action delays the effective date of a final rule published in the Federal Register on December 9, 2024, amending Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range (VOR) Federal Airways V-68, V-212, and V-222, and United States Area Navigation (RNAV) Route T-220; and revoking VOR Federal Airway V-558. The FAA is delaying the effective date to allow sufficient time for completing the update and flight inspection of a Standard Terminal Arrival Route (STAR) instrument procedure into George Bush Intercontinental/Houston Airport, TX, that failed the initial flight inspection and a STAR instrument procedure into San Antonio International Airport, TX, that also failed the initial flight inspection. The STARs are being amended in support of the planned decommissioning of the VOR portion of the Industry, TX (IDU), VOR/Tactical Air Navigation (VORTAC).
