🚁Proposed Airworthiness Directive for Airbus Helicopters by FAA

The FAA proposes to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2021-20-16, which applies to all Airbus Helicopters Model AS355E, AS 355-F, AS 355-F1, AS355F2, AS355N, and AS355NP helicopters and certain Model AS 350B3 helicopters. AD 2021-20-16 requires repetitive cleaning and visual and detailed inspections of the right-hand side of the vertical fin spar and vertical fin upper attachments for discrepancies (cracking) with corrective action, if necessary. Since the FAA issued AD 2021-20-16, Airbus Helicopters developed a modification of the upper fin assembly. This proposed AD would require the same actions as AD 2021-20-16 and would also require replacement of the upper fin assembly with a modified upper fin assembly, which would constitute terminating action for the repetitive inspections. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

✈️Compliance Updates for Standard Instrument Approach Procedures

This rule establishes, amends, suspends, or removes Standard Instrument Approach Procedures (SIAPS) and associated Takeoff Minimums and Obstacle Departure procedures (ODPs) for operations at certain airports. These regulatory actions are needed because of the adoption of new or revised criteria, or because of changes occurring in the National Airspace System, such as the commissioning of new navigational facilities, adding new obstacles, or changing air traffic requirements. These changes are designed to provide safe and efficient use of the navigable airspace and to promote safe flight operations under instrument flight rules at the affected airports.

✈️FAA Withdraws Class D and E Airspace Amendment Proposal

This action withdraws the notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) published in the Federal Register on June 30, 2025, proposing to amend Class D and Class E airspace at Morgantown, WV. The FAA has determined that withdrawal of that NPRM is warranted as new airspace data have been received which significantly change the requirements for the proposed airspace. FAA expects to publish a new NPRM to amend the Class D and Class E airspace at Morgantown, WV, after assessing the new data.

✈️New Airworthiness Directive for Airbus A350

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus SAS Model A350-941 and -1041 airplanes. This AD was prompted by a design review that identified a potential thrust asymmetry condition during derated takeoff operations under certain conditions. This AD requires revising the existing airplane flight manual (AFM) to provide the flightcrew with procedures for derated takeoff limitations. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

🚚FMCSA Grants K & L Trucking Exemption for Cargo Securement

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) announces its decision to renew K & L Trucking, Inc.'s (K & L, USDOT #193158) application for a limited 5-year exemption to allow the company to secure large metal coils to its trailers using a cargo securement system that differs from that required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs). The Agency has determined that granting the exemption would likely achieve a level of safety equivalent to or greater than the level of safety provided by the regulation.

🚍Emergency Relief Docket 2025

By this notice, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) is establishing an Emergency Relief Docket for calendar year 2025, so grantees and subgrantees affected by a national or regional emergency or disaster may request temporary relief from FTA administrative and statutory requirements.
