The Western Pacific Fishery Management Council (Council) and NMFS will convene a Western Pacific Stock Assessment Review (WPSAR) of a stock assessment update for the multispecies bottomfish complex in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI). The review will be conducted virtually. A satellite location will be made available for the public to view the review process and Council staff will be available in-person to answer questions. The Pacific Fishery Management Council (Pacific Council) will convene three Stock Assessment Review (STAR) Panel meetings to review 2025 stock assessments for yellowtail rockfish in the area North of 40[deg]10' N, latitude, chilipepper rockfish, quillback rockfish off California, rougheye/blackspotted rockfish, and sablefish. The meetings will be co-hosted by the NMFS Northwest and Southwest Fisheries Science Centers. STAR panel meetings are open to the public and being conducted in person with a web broadcast that provides the opportunity for remote listening and public comment.

NMFS will convene the Research Track Assessment Peer Review Meeting for the purpose of reviewing the Atlantic herring stock. The Research Track Assessment Peer Review is a formal scientific peer- review process for evaluating and presenting stock assessment results to managers for fish stocks in the offshore U.S. waters of the northwest Atlantic. Assessments are prepared by the research track working group and reviewed by an independent panel of stock assessment experts from the Center of Independent Experts. The public is invited to attend the presentations and discussions between the review panel and the scientists who have participated in the stock assessment process.

In accordance with the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972, as amended, and its implementing regulations, we, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), have developed draft revised marine mammal stock assessment reports (SARs) for the Chukchi/Bering Seas and Southern Beaufort Sea polar bear (Ursus maritimus) stocks in Alaska.
