🚁FAA Notice on Drone Operation Exemption for Solar Panel Cleaning

This notice contains a summary of a petition seeking relief from specified requirements of Federal Aviation Regulations. The purpose of this notice is to improve the public's awareness of, and participation in, the FAA's exemption process. Neither publication of this notice nor the inclusion nor omission of information in the summary is intended to affect the legal status of the petition or its final disposition.

☀️TVA's Hope Solar and Storage Project

The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) intends to prepare an environmental document for the purchase of electricity generated by the proposed Hope Solar and Storage Project in Clay County, Mississippi. The environmental review will assess the potential environmental effects of constructing, operating, and maintaining the proposed 200- megawatt (MW) alternating current (AC) solar photovoltaic (PV) facility and up to 200 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The proposed solar facility and BESS system would occupy a portion of the 2,427-acre Project Study Area. Public comments are invited concerning the scope of the review, alternatives being considered, and environmental issues that should be addressed as a part of this review. TVA is also requesting data, information, and analysis relevant to the proposed action from the public; affected federal, state, tribal, and local governments, agencies, and offices; the scientific community; industry; or any other interested party.

☀️Notice of Final Results for Antidumping Duty Orders on Solar Cells

The U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) published notice in the Federal Register of December 12, 2024 in which Commerce announced the final results of the changed circumstances reviews (CCR) of the antidumping duty (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) orders on crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells, whether or not assembled into modules (solar cells) from the People's Republic of China (China), with respect to Hanwha Q CELLS Malaysia Sdn. Bhd (Hanwha). This notice corrects portions of the Appendix V certification, also attached herein.

☀️Notice on Solar Cells Regulatory Update Involving Adani and Mundra

Notice is hereby given that the U.S. International Trade Commission ("Commission") has determined not to review an initial determination ("ID") (Order No. 8) granting an unopposed motion to terminate the investigation as to respondent Adani Green Energy Ltd. based on withdrawal of the complaint, and to amend the complaint to add respondent Mundra Solar PV Ltd.

🌱Incidental Take Permit Application for Solar Energy Project

We, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), have received an application from Overnight Solar, LLC for an incidental take permit under the Endangered Species Act. The permit would authorize take of the federally threatened desert tortoise (Gopherus agassizii) incidental to otherwise lawful activities associated with construction, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning of the Overnight Solar Energy Project. We invite comments on the applicant's draft habitat conservation plan and the draft environmental assessment, which we have prepared pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act. We will take comments into consideration before deciding whether to issue an incidental take permit.

☀️Jove Solar Project Record of Decision Announcement - Arizona

In compliance with the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976, as amended (FLPMA), the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) announces the availability of the Record of Decision for the Jove Solar Project, located in La Paz County, Arizona. The Record of Decision signed on January 3, 2025, constitutes the decision of the BLM, as approved by the Department of the Interior.

☀️Notice of Land Segregation for Bonanza Solar Project in NV

Through this notice the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is segregating public lands for the Bonanza Solar Project right-of-way application from appropriation under the public land laws, including the Mining Law, but not the Mineral Leasing or Material Sales Acts, for a period of 2 years from the date of publication of this notice, subject to valid existing rights. This segregation is to allow for the orderly administration of the public lands to facilitate the consideration of development of renewable energy resources. The public lands segregated by this notice total 6,239 acres.
