🦺CDC Proposes Data Collection on X-Ray Classifications for Miners

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as part of its continuing effort to reduce public burden and maximize the utility of government information, invites the general public and other federal agencies the opportunity to comment on a proposed information collection, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. This notice invites comment on a proposed information collection project titled X-Ray Classification Collection for Metal and Nonmetal Miners. The purpose of the proposed data collection is to allow medical providers or their staff to submit the B Reader provided classifications of chest radiographs of miners in the metal and nonmetal industry, to better understand the burden of pneumoconiosis in this workforce, as authorized in the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) final rule for Respirable Crystalline Silica.
