In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs intends to repatriate certain cultural items that meet the definition of sacred objects and that have a known lineal descendant.

🌾HEARTH Act Approval for Jamul Indian Village through Amended Ordinance
The Assistant Secretary--Indian Affairs approved the Jamul Indian Village of California, Amended Leasing Ordinance under the Helping Expedite and Advance Responsible Tribal Homeownership Act of 2012 (HEARTH Act). With this approval, the Tribe is authorized to enter into agriculture, business, residential, wind and solar, wind energy evaluation, public, religious, educational, and recreational leases without further Secretary of the Interior approval.
