✈️Proposed Directive for General Electric Engine Disk Replacements

The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain General Electric Company (GE) Model GE90-90B, GE90-94B, GE90-110B1, and GE90-115B engines. This proposed AD was prompted by a manufacturer investigation that revealed certain high-pressure turbine (HPT) stage 1 and HPT stage 2 disks were manufactured from powder metal material suspected to contain iron inclusion. This proposed AD would require replacement of affected HPT stage 1 and HPT stage 2 disks with parts eligible for installation. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

✈️New Airworthiness Directives for General Electric Jet Engines Proposed

The FAA is revising a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) that applied to certain General Electric Company (GE) Model CF34- 10E2A1, CF34-10E6, CF34-10E6A1, CF34-10E7, and CF34-10E7-B engines having certain high-pressure turbine (HPT) front rotating air seals installed. This action revises the NPRM by adding Model CF34-10E5 and CF34-10E5A1 engines to the applicability. The FAA is proposing this airworthiness directive (AD) to address the unsafe condition on these products. Since these actions would impose an additional burden over those in the NPRM, the agency is requesting comments on this SNPRM.
