The Black Hills National Forest Advisory Board will hold a public meeting according to the details shown below. The board is authorized under the Forest and Rangeland Renewable Resources Planning Act of 1974, the National Forest Management Act of 1976, the Federal Public Lands Recreation Enhancement Act, and operates in compliance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA). The purpose of the board is to provide advice and recommendations on a broad range of forest issues such as forest plan revisions or amendments; forest health including fire, insects, and disease; travel management; forest monitoring and evaluation; recreation fees; and site-specific projects having forest-wide implications.

The Idaho Panhandle National Forest is withdrawing its Notice of Intent (NOI) to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Noxious Weed Treatment Project. The original NOI was published on pages 70954-70955 of the Federal Register on November 16, 2011. The Forest plans to complete an Environmental Assessment (EA) to determine if there are significant effects warranting the preparation of an EIS.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) announces the availability of a final environmental impact statement (FEIS) for the evaluation of incidental take permit applications and a supporting habitat conservation plan (HCP) developed by the Oregon Department of State Lands (ODSL; applicant). The applicant seeks incidental take permits from FWS and the National Marine Fisheries Service (together, the Services) to authorize the incidental take of three species expected to result from research and management activities on the Elliott State Research Forest in Coos and Douglas Counties, Oregon. With this notice, we also make available the final Elliott State Research Forest Habitat Conservation Plan submitted by the applicant.
