✈️FAA Meeting Notice on Event Scheduling Conflicts
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announces a virtual meeting regarding the identification of potential scheduling conflicts pursuant to section 1115 of the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024. This meeting is open to all representatives of FAA-approved air shows, the general aviation community, stadiums and other large outdoor events and venues or organizations that run such events, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Justice. The goal of this meeting is to identify potential scheduling conflicts so the FAA can develop appropriate operational and communication procedures to ensure the safety and security of both events.

This action is necessary to provide for the safety of life on these navigable waters around the port of Duluth, MN during a sail festival with tall ships beginning on July 10, 2025, and ending the evening of July 13, 2025. This proposed rulemaking would prohibit persons and vessels from being in the designated areas unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Duluth or a designated representative. This rule prohibits persons and vessels from being in the regulated area unless authorized by the Captain of the Port, Maryland-National Capital Region, or the Coast Guard Event Patrol Commander.

Entry of vessels or persons into the security zone is prohibited unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Charleston or a designated representative.
