🏭Initiation of Circumvention Inquiries for Steel Wire Garment Hangers

In response to a request from a domestic interested party, M&B Metal Products Co., Inc. (the requester), the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) is initiating country-wide circumvention inquiries to determine whether imports of steel wire garment hangers (hangers) completed in Cambodia using components manufactured in the People's Republic of China (China) or the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (Vietnam) are circumventing the antidumping duty (AD) order on hangers from China, or the AD and countervailing duty (CVD) orders on hangers from Vietnam.

☀️Antidumping Duty Updates on Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaic Cells

The U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) published a notice in the Federal Register on June 24, 2025, in which Commerce announced the amended final antidumping duty determination on crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells, whether or not assembled into modules (solar cells) from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (Vietnam), and antidumping duty orders on solar cells from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. This notice corrects for: (1) the inadvertent omission of the separate scope Appendix, applicable to the antidumping order for Vietnam, and (2) the omission of exclusion language with respect to respondent Hanwha Q Cells Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., applicable to the antidumping order for Malaysia.

FinCEN is issuing a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM), pursuant to section 311 of the USA PATRIOT Act, that proposes prohibiting the opening or maintaining of a correspondent account in the United States for, or on behalf of, Huione Group, a foreign financial institution based in Cambodia found to be of primary money laundering concern. The NPRM also would require covered financial institutions to apply special due diligence to their foreign correspondent accounts that is reasonably designed to guard against their use to process transactions involving Huione Group.
