🚤Special Local Regulation for York River Boat Race by Coast Guard

The Coast Guard is establishing a special local regulation for certain waters on the York River in Yorktown, VA. This action is necessary to provide for the safety of life on these navigable waters during an annual high-speed boat race. This rulemaking prohibits persons and vessels from entering the regulated area when it is subject to enforcement unless authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Virginia or a designated representative.

⛵New Temporary Regulation for Bush River Boat Race Safety

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary special local regulation for certain waters of the Bush River and Otter Point Creek, in Maryland. This action is necessary to provide for the safety of life on these navigable waters, located at Edgewood, MD, during a high-speed power boat race on May 3, 2025, and May 4, 2025. This regulation prohibits persons and vessels (other than those already at berth at the time the regulation takes effect) from being in the regulated area unless authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Maryland-National Capital Region (COTP), or a designated representative.
